Why LEBASQ exists
I've worked in basics for more than 15 years. In that time I've seen thousands of T-shirts, and one thing always bothered me: most of them aren't made to last, and most of them don't fit the men who actually wear them.
Classic size charts were drawn up decades ago, for men who were shorter than we are today. We've grown, especially here in the Netherlands, home of the tallest people in the world. The size charts didn't. The result is a shirt that fits across the chest but rides up the moment you reach for something. And honestly, there's nothing worse than a T-shirt that shows your crack.
So I started LEBASQ to make the basics I couldn't find: quality garments that last, cut for the way men are built now.
Why "LEBASQ"?
The name is a play on the French le basique: a wardrobe basic, the essential piece everything else is built on. That's exactly what we make. You say it "le-bask".
The LEBASQ fit: not too long, not too short
Even our Regular Fit is cut a little longer than a traditional T-shirt, 2 to 4 cm in sizes M to XL. Enough to stay in place when you move, without looking oversized.
Our Long Fit
Our Long Fit goes 3 to 6 cm further, for tall men and anyone who wants extra length. The width stays exactly the same as our Regular, so it drapes like a proper T-shirt, not a dress.
Our fabrics are pre-shrunk, so that length survives the wash, and we choose fabrics and construction to last for years, not a season. No trends, no gimmicks. Just the T-shirt you reach for every morning, because it simply fits.
